Correa alba: White Correa

Correa alba is a hardy, evergreen Australian native shrub with attractive grey-green foliage and delicate white, star-shaped flowers. Naturally occurring along coastal areas of eastern and southern Australia, it is particularly well suited to coastal gardens, habitat planting and exposed sites.

Its flowers appear mainly through 'late autumn and winter', providing valuable seasonal nectar for birds and other wildlife when fewer plants are flowering.

The species is exceptionally adaptable, tolerating full sun to part shade, salt spray, moderate frost and extended dry periods once established.

With its naturally compact form, *Correa alba* works beautifully as a low hedge, border shrub, feature plant or part of a layered native habitat garden. It is also suitable for reasonably drained soils, including sandy and coastal conditions. ([Australian Native Plant Society][1])
