  • Climate: Best suited to temperate and warm-temperate climates. It appreciates protection from extreme heat and harsh conditions.

  • Hardiness: A moderately hardy Australian native climber or scrambling shrub. Benefits from shelter from strong winds and protection from severe frost.

  • Habitat: Native to Western Australia, where it grows in heathland, woodland and other open, well-drained environments.

  • Soil: Prefers well-drained soil and benefits from organic matter. Avoid waterlogged conditions.

  • Position: Full sun to part shade. In warmer climates, some afternoon shade can help protect foliage and flowers.
